# Remittances

Western Union and London-based fintech Noah announced a partnership on October 20, 2026, to support stablecoin remittances through Western Union’s Receiver Redirect program. Noah will provide the on-chain banking network and treasury infrastructure for a service designed to span 200 countries and territories. The program uses USDPT, Western Union’s US dollar-denominated stablecoin, issued by Anchorage Digital Bank on Solana. Under the planned arrangement, senders will initiate transfers through Western Union’s physical agent network, while recipients will collect USDPT in a Western Union digital wallet. Noah will handle pre-funding, currency conversion, payouts and regulatory compliance across more than 60 supported currencies. Recipients can retain transferred stablecoins in Western Union’s Stablecard wallet and Visa-linked card. The companies have not published a rollout calendar, launch corridors or a fee schedule, leaving the service’s availability and cost unclear. Western Union previously began USDPT rollouts in the Philippines and Bolivia.
